New Old Dress Tie Dye Project

Today's project.
I dug out the fabric coloring pouch I bought like two years ago. Found the old, white dress I bought (for $2) about a year ago.
Planned for about an hour (and played some games while doing it...) how exactly to start, and then with some unexpected help from my dear husband decided to go for the tie dye look.

I took the dress and twisted it until it naturally kinda rolled in half, then used two hair elastics-as I didn't have one rubber band in the house-to keep it rolled together tight.
I prepared the coloring mix as told on the box. Then I just dumped the dress in, pushed it around with kitchen tongs and left it there for about 20 minutes.

I couldn't wait to see how it turned out so I probably didn't do great job rinsing it. But I'm going to have to wash it before first use anyway.
And here's the end result, hanging outside to dry!

The color I used was Royal Blue. Love it.
